Temporary External Cardiac Pacing

An epicardial-wire temporary pulse generator. Choose an underlying rhythm, then program mode, rate, output (mA) and sensitivity (mV). Watch for capture (a pacing spike that produces a complex) and sensing (intrinsic beats that inhibit the pacemaker). Drop the output below threshold for loss of capture; make the sensitivity too high for undersensing, too low for oversensing.
